Open for business during the Great Depression, the Aquarium was Key West’s first attraction. The Aquarium was built between 1932 and 1934, and was a major part of Key West’s attempt to stage an economic recovery by advertising their city as “America’s Caribbean Island.”
Today, Key West hosts millions of visitors and the Aquarium showcases marine life indigenous to the Florida Keys. Discover the undersea world at the Key West Aquarium. Daily shark and turtle feedings and the Touch Tank offer guests hands on experience with sea life. 365 Days a Year. Open 10am-6pm. Tours and Feedings are 11am, 1pm, 3pm, and 4:30pm. All schedules are subject to change.
Specials
Locals tour free for the entire month of June and the first Sunday of every month. Valid for Monroe County residents with local ID.
